Our round lawn in the back yard~
Because of our short growing season and harsh climate, out trees' growing rate is very slow.
It takes twice as long as... say, West Coast? And almost always much smaller.
I thought I would place a green rug in my garden. tee-hee
The Lawn requires the most water, so I've made the lawn area as small as I could.
To the left, I have a small gate which leads you to a dog path.
I have placed two containers here among the chamomiles this year.
The vine didn't grow according to my plan, and I don't see much impact...
I may plant more vegetables in these containers next year.
Behind the lawn is my potager area. The garlic are almost ready for the harvest!
The perilla or shiso plants are growing well and so are the edible gem marigolds.
To the right, we have a pond.
We have many dragonflies molt underneath the flagstone (which hides a pump) every year.
I saw a pretty blue one today.
By the way, did you know that we don't have fireflies here in Colorado?
Another story another time...
Have a nice weekend!
