texture of Japan - part 2

for cleansing your hands /spirit before entering

chrysanthemum exhibit

I found a pair of quaint restroom signs,
"Male believer" and "Female believer" - loved them!

texture of Japan - part 1

Here are some of my photographs from Japan,
 -texture that caught my eye.

Local mochi, stone lantan, and yuzu.
I really wanted to bring home these last three items with me ~.

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving day is Thursday.
Because our son couldn't be here on Thursday,
we've celebrated our Thanksgiving a little early this year -last Sunday.

I'm thankful for my family and friends in US and Japan, for your endless support.

Everybody else is busy getting ready for tomorrow, but I can now take a breather
and start to put away my travel memorabilia and -reflect.

The son has happily left here with arms full of home cooking leftovers, a few souvenirs and  his favorite food from Japan.

I don't know anything about fishing, but did my best to pick one for you and one for Dad.

Go catch a big one!

Frost the cat came too!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.

*Here is a recipe from M.S. for green been casserole - just because it was delicious!
(Do not use the Parm. cheese in a can for this recipe)

back from a trip

I came back to snowy Colorado from Japan on Saturday.

It was a rather busy one month visit and I didn't get to take many photos,
but was able to enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine.

I''ll talk about my visit in coming days.

Tomorrow is our son's birthday.
This jet-lagged mother has managed to bake a cake and mail it.

I'm now running around getting ready for upcoming holidays.

The kanji character for "busy" is composed of "心" and "亡", meaning "mind" and "lose".

I shall do my best not to lose my mind.
