Osmanthus fragrans  Fragrant olive　　キンモクセイ

 一時間ほど電車とバスにゆられて母を訪ねます

昨夜帰り際にこう言われ、なんだか嬉しい帰り道でした

　　　

        「道を横切るときは右と左とちゃんとよく見てね」

ひとり時間もあるので皆さんのブログも読ませていただいています

少しだけ通常さを感じ、ホッとできるひと時です　

どうもありがとう

キンモクセイの良い香りもみつけました、２５年ぶりです　
もう少しで満開かな？

It takes about an hour by train and bus to visit my mother.

This is what she said as I was leaving mom's place last night and made me smile;

　　　

      "Make sure to look both ways when you cross the street."

I'm reading friend's blogs when I can, and comforted by some normalcy which I'm grateful.

This is a fragrant olive tree with sweet wonderful scent.

It's been 25 years since I last enjoyed this scent -thank you for your kind reminder, Mrs. K!

Mother's rose

お母さん、元気ですか？

Dear Mom,
How are you?

母さんがこちらで買ってくれたミニバラがたくさん咲いています
まだ元気で旅行ができていた頃・・・遠い昔のような気がするね

The rose you bought me when you were here is blooming.
That was when you could still travel...feels like so long ago.

空気が変化するごとにいろんな色をみせてくれます
あざがあったり　えくぼがあったり　でも、病気もせずにとても健康
玄関前の一等席に植えていますよ  

いつ見ても可愛い

Her color changes with weather and she shows us many faces.
She has some bruises and dimples, but always very healthy.
I planted her in a special place by the front door. 

I think she is so pretty.

もうすぐ帰ります
